Nervous and Novice showjumping - LEAUGE POINTS - ESUK qualifiers

This event is for nervous or novice riders, those who have just started to learn to jump or for those with young nervous horses. Assistance is allowed in all classes (1 helper) If you have won a class more than 3 times we ask you kindly to move up to the next height if you feel confident enough too, this keeps the competition fair for all of the other riders. NO SPURS OR SCHOOLING WHIPS You are allowed 1 helper in the arena. Horse and pony results will be split if more than 15 entries Rosettes will be awarded: 1st to 3rd upto 6 entries 4th to 6th if more than 6 entries. Rules: More than 3 strikes behind the saddle will result in elimination. Absolutely no striking horses above shoulder ie ; head/ upper neck. It is at the judges discretion to eliminate where they feel the horse/ pony is under too much pressure. Spurs and whip rules are taken in line with British show jumping and are a follows: the overall length of the spur is not to exceed 4cm , measured from the back of the boot to the end of the spur. Only dummy spurs, Rollerball, Impulse, Rowelled, Hammerhead and prince of wales spurs are allowed to be worn. The maximum length of the whip is to not exceed 70cm and must not be less than 45cm, there must be no binding within 17cm of the end of the pad, the minimum diameter for a shaft is 1cm. Do not go through the start gate before the start bell has been sounded If the bell is sounded during your round , saftely come to a halt. 4 faults is the knock of a pole, 1 refusals (also 4 faults) 2 refusals (8 faults) 3 refusals results in elimination a singular fence can be jumped before exiting the arena. If horse steps back from jump with hind legs it is classed as a refusal Notes: This competition will include a variety of uprights and oxers and will inc fillers throughout the course and occasionally a water tray jump but always as an optional Proof will be needed for a paraplegic rider to be accepted to use extra aids such as schooling whips or spurs. Café will be open for the duration of the competition. Disclaimer Each and every rider/ competitor is totally responsible for themselves (parents / guardians for minors) for their time spent either hiring facilities at Blidworth equestrian show centre or as a competitor or as a pupil at a clinic or at any other event held at Blidworth equestrian show centre. NO horses are to walk past the Trot on tea room, please stay in the area close to the warm up arena. On visiting the show centre , please remember to take any horse droppings away with you, or put in a muck bucket provided. Please Stick to rules signs around the show centre that are in place to help keep everybody's safety paramount. NO sitting on any of the fences and only 1 helper in the warm up arena per horse/pony/rider NO SPECTATORS in the warm arena, please use the viewing gallery in front of the Trot on tea room. First aid: 2 Trained first aiders with be on site, please see staff in green first aid hi-vis A first aid box will be situated in the cafe Accident book will be in the judges box If any falls please report immediately to the judges box with parent if under 16.

Refund policy: 1 Week before: Refund credited back to the account that it was paid less admin charge of €1.50 48hrs before the event A credit on your Equus account less €1.50 admin charge If less than 24hrs then no refund will be given.
