All rules and scoring available on the website. Pick n mix classes- none judged fun round- well done rosettes for all. Jump any flagged fences of any height- following the flow of the course. 40cm- shorter course ~10 fences can be on or off lead-rein, short timed section- go through an open gate and jump 1/2 fences- section is labelled on course. The following classes have pairs and individual sections- pairs ride as a two, judged separately and scores combined for placings. Pairs must stay within 20 metres of each other and jump the same fences- there are NO dressing fences. 60cm- small timed section- go through an open gate and jump a couple fences, section is labelled on course. 2X water complex. 70cm- small timed section- open the gate, go through, close and secure, jump a couple of fences- section is labelled on course. 2X water complexes and a ditch. 80cm- small timed section- open the gate, go through, close and secure, jump a couple of fences- section is labelled on course. 2X water complexes and a ditch. 90cm- small timed section- open the gate, go through, close and secure, jump a couple of fences- section is labelled on course. 2X water complexes and a ditch. Castle Farm Livery and XC policy for use of the XC course. This must be read by all riders before using the cross country course Horse riding is a dangerous sport, Castle Farm Livery & Cross Country cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury caused to riders, horses, or property and only permit riders to use the facilities on this basis. All riders must accept this declaration, confirming that they alone carry the responsibility for any accidental injury or damage that may occur as a result of riding on these premises. Riding hats conforming to current British Eventing safety standards must be worn at all times when mounted. Body protectors conforming to current British Eventing safety standards must be worn whilst riding on the XC course. All riders under the age of 18 must have a responsible adult with them to assist in case of an emergency All riders must wear their bib numbers once mounted and keep long hair tied back out the way of it- this is important for us to identify you in an emergency. Car/lorry park gates must always be shut in case of a loose horse Use of XC is not exclusive, there will be other riders using the XC. Please report any damages, so we can keep it safe for everyone. Any areas which are roped off are out of bounds for maintenance etc Only jump flagged fences within your and your horse’s capability Where a fence has flags, it must be jumped with the red flag on the right as you jump it Please respect others using the course and communicate if you wish to overtake anyone in front of you British weather is unpredictable, please ride safely and respectfully according to the ground conditions STRICTLY NO DOGS ALLOWED All rubbish and horse muck must be taken home with you. Any accidents that occur onsite must be reported to a steward, they are based in the warm up and at every group of fences on course.
